Privacy Policy

This policy explains how The Offline Time Studio handles personal information when you use theofflinetime.com, contact us, or obtain our digital products.

Last updated: September 5, 2026

1. Who we are

The Offline Time Studio is a registered business in Kenya and operates theofflinetime.com. For personal information we control directly, The Offline Time Studio acts as the data controller or equivalent responsible party under applicable privacy law.

2. Information we may receive

Depending on how you interact with us, we may receive:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Order details, product purchased, transaction references and download history made available to us by our checkout platform.
  • Messages and information you send when requesting support.
  • Basic technical and security information such as IP address, browser, device information and request/security logs.
  • Marketing preferences where you choose to subscribe or consent.

3. Where information comes from

Information may come directly from you, from our website infrastructure, or from providers involved in checkout, payment processing, product delivery, security and communications.

4. Checkout and payment

Purchases and free-product downloads may be processed through Payhip and connected payment providers such as Paystack. We do not receive or store your full payment card credentials. Those providers handle payment information under their own privacy and security terms.

5. Why we use personal information

  • To provide products, downloads and customer support.
  • To process and administer orders and business records.
  • To protect the website, prevent abuse and investigate security issues.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.
  • To improve products, website performance and customer experience.
  • To send marketing messages where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

6. Legal bases where required

Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we may rely on performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business, and consent where consent is required.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website and service providers may use technologies necessary for security, network delivery, checkout and core site operation. If we later introduce non-essential analytics or advertising cookies that require consent, we will provide appropriate notice and consent controls where required.

8. Service providers and sharing

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with providers that help operate the business, including hosting and security providers, checkout and payment platforms, email or communication providers, and professional advisers. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

9. International transfers

Because we serve customers internationally and use service providers that may operate in multiple countries, personal information may be processed outside your country of residence or outside Kenya. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will rely on an appropriate lawful mechanism, provider safeguards or consent as required.

10. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including order support, accounting and tax records, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal obligations. Different categories may be retained for different periods.

11. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to be informed about processing, request access, correction or deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or request a copy of information in a portable format. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.

To make a request, email theofflinetimeco@gmail.com.

12. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also have the right to complain to the privacy regulator in your country. In Kenya, the relevant regulator is the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).

13. Children

Our products are designed for family use, but purchases, checkout and direct communications with us are intended for adults. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information directly to us.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, together with our service providers, to protect information. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website, providers or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date.

16. Contact

Privacy questions can be sent to theofflinetimeco@gmail.com.
